Required before stocking or releasing any fish, shellfish, or aquatic plant into Texas public waters.

Before you apply

Texas Parks & Wildlife Department requires the following be complete before this permit can be issued.

  • Identify species, source hatchery, and disease-free certification
  • Provide GPS coordinates and waterbody name for release site
  • Submit Permit Applicants Addendum (PWD-1420) listing all participating parties
  • Pass a site inspection by a state or local health authority before opening to the public.
